In this position, you will be reporting directly to the Camp Manager. You will also be required to liaise and communicate on a daily basis with the client's Rig Manager and Company Man on-site. You will also need to report and complete a handover with your back to back Chef on shift and on crew changeover day.
- Production of all daily meal requirements ranging from (breakfast, lunch, dinner, smoko, pastry and baked items) with an emphasis on quality taste and presentation.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, dry goods, refrigeration and freezer areas to ensure compliance with Food Safety Management Plan.
- Correct stock rotation.
- Ordering of food supplies and maintaining designated food costs.
- Meeting dietary requirements of clients.
- Liaising with Camp Attendants to ensure overall standards and operations of the camp are kept to standards.
- Communication daily with Rig Manager and Company Man on-site to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Delivery of items to rig site.
- Reporting any incidents, issues, and hazards to immediate Supervisor.
- Complete all daily, weekly and monthly necessary checks and paperwork as required.
- Daily monitoring of food temperature checks.
- Ensuring correct storage and operation of all hazardous chemicals is followed at all times.
- Maintaining equipment in a hygienic and safe manner at all times.
- Manage the safe delivery of the Catering, Cleaning and Laundry services on-site and ensure the safety of Personnel on-site.
- Review, communicate and implement in consultation with workers the SMP, EMP, and Food Safety Program and its supporting SOP's and Safe Work Practices.
- Maintain records on-site.
- Quality Assurance.
- Trade qualified with a minimum 5 years post Apprenticeship, or 10 years in the industry.
- The ability to work on a FIFO basis
- Current Australia class C manual Driver's License as a minimum.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues, management and clients alike.
- Self-motivator.

- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of all camp and rig accommodation rooms, all general public areas, showers and ablutions, breezeways, and camp site.
- Maintain site facilities at a high level of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance.
- Making of beds daily.
- Washing of all linen weekly, change over days or as required.
- Complete all daily, weekly and monthly necessary checks and paperwork as required by Caza Catering.
- Daily vehicle checks (oil, water, etc. as per check sheet).
- Washing and folding of all crew Personnel's uniforms and clothing.
- Maintaining company vehicles to the standards set by Caza.
- Reporting any incidents, issues and hazards to immediate Supervisor.
- Maintain all necessary supplies for the efficient operations of the catering and camp services. Assisting the Chef/Camp Manager with ordering of stock levels to do with your job/tasks (chemicals, soaps, toilet paper, hand towels etc.).
- Delivery of food items to rig site.
- Checking and testing water when delivered and documenting.
- Notifying and ordering of water and fuel when require with nominated Contractors, Managers.
- Maintaining equipment (cleaning filter of dryer after each load, washing machine filter where required etc.) as required or daily.
- Sweeping and mopping of kitchen, dining room, cool rooms, dry stores, freezer, laundry, rooms and breezeways daily.
- Weekly checks of enviro flow system (training will be provided).
- Temperature checks of food delivered to rig sites and records given to the Chef on duty.
- Assist Chefs in receiving of stores and checking off items and storage.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
